Well, I didn't see how it could affect lag either. But your instruction no. 1 says:

"1. disable A-GPS (should be default)"

Why does it need to be disabled? I enabled it with the understand that it helps GPS weak signal issues. Should I be setting it back to the default disable?

This article does a pretty good job of answering your question:

I personally leave it on.

This article is also good:

Re: GPS Lag?

I turned on aGPS and went for a drive. If anything, it made the lag slightly worse. BUT, it seems to track my location within 10 meters instead of 20-30 meters (this is with Google Maps). So, if yr having trouble with lag, disable aGPS. If you need a more accurate location, enable it.

Re: GPS Lag?

Anyone with Tomtom on a 6.5 rom? I have it on Mighty's latest and the lag is ~10 sec. Unusable. Was just fine with a 6.1 rom.

Re: GPS Lag?

This worked for me:
http://pockethacks.com/htc-touch-pro...-problems-fix/

But I made the values even lower. I understand it's a serial device, but I see no need to have a buffer on a device such as this. Having the buffer shows a false location on a map until your actual location is pushed out of the buffer and into the program.

Which COM port are you using. Don't use COM4.

See if thread in my signature helps.

Re: GPS Lag?

No lag on my TP, but there is one on the TP2 and having none of the "fixes" available for it have made any difference. As for the COM selectdion, 4 has always worked for me. I will try the others.
