Bing GPS problems

In general, I like the Bing GPS for my TP2: free, loud Voice instructions, tracks well with little lag, OK user interface: Two problems:

1: it often can't find my current location; often have to do a soft reset to have it work.
2: Often, usually, if I get it in reroute mode, it just quits and exits. It announces "rerouting" loudly and goes bye-bye.

have others had these problems? is there a newer version out that i should try?

Thanks,
mike

I had number 1 until discovered that if I download using my quick GPS, no matter if it's expired or not, I could find my location quickly.

Re: Bing GPS problems

I sometimes have the same problem where Bing can't pinpoint my location. A "fix" i found that works all the time is, before starting up Bing, start up google maps, make sure GPS is on, once it finds your location, run Bing... for some reason Google Maps has no problems finding gps location.

Re: Bing GPS problems

there's been a number of upgrades/changes just in the last few days.

I myself was forced onto "Bing for Verizon". I'm back onto a new version of Bing now, but its still not as good as the "plain" old version for my purposes.
