Unlocking - SIM / IMEI / GSM

Question,

When the Hard-SLP working and loading WinMo 6.1 and 6.5 OS, does this mean the Telus Touch Pro 2 (T7379) GSM will be unlocked or is a differnet unlocking procedure?

Sorry ADMIN post should be in "CDMA HTC Touch Pro 2 Upgrades"

To be able to unlock your CDMA phone and flash custom ROMS we have to wait until the CDMA Hard SPL comes out. We don't know yet when a SIM unlock program with be made available or if it even will.....


You can get SIM unlocked right now. You just have to pay for it. you can go to :

I'd have no problem paying $35 ONCE. But if previous experience is any indication, I will have the phone replaced 2-3 times before upgrading to a newer model.

Sucks to pay $70-$105 to keep unlocking the same feature in addition to the cost of the phone.

Its actually 40$. You have to go under bell/telus and select their touch pro2. The guy emailed me back and said that I selected the wrong 1. refunded my 35 and made me pay 39

OH well took about half an hour for me to get my code. So im happy.

If you go to ebay and search for TMobile Pro2 unlock you can get your phone sim unlocked for under 15.00. I got my code from them for my 2nd phone and had the # in under an hour.

thats absolutely correct, i got my code in under 10 minutes for my telus tp2 at $12.00 USD. worked great

Does anyone know if changing roms (or whatever the Hard SLP tool will do) is going to affect its "unlocked" status?

Will I ever need to unlock it a 2nd time? Or once it's unlocked I'm all set?

When you unlock a phone in order to flash a ROM e.g. use the Hard SPL, you need only do that once. However, just to be clear, do not confuse that type of unlocking with unlocking a SIM so that you can use your phone on other carriers networks. It too only needs to be unlocked once, but they are completely different "unlocking" procedures and for two totally different reasons.
