Sweet, now I'll have something to flash to when I get my TP2. Thanks Mike!

Re: [DISCUSSION] [MightyROM] [MightyROM.com] [Rhodium CDMA WWE]

I assume you'll be fiddling around with the Pagepool... it seems HUGE on the Telus TP2. No autoload for Opera may free up some space too in memory.

Sprint users will have something to look forward to when the device comes out. I guess that is at least a good point of Sprint getting the device later. I'm still not entirely sure if I'll give in and upgrade, but we'll see.

It doesn't auto-load. It just stays cached once it's been opened. This is a sweet feature. It always remembers where you were, and I don't find I'm running out of memory.

I can use opera, iGO8, coreplayer and bluetooth all at the same time withotu skipping a beat. AKA no issues with memory.

Re: [DISCUSSION] [MightyROM] [MightyROM.com] [Rhodium CDMA WWE]

Loving these MightyRoms and can't wait to finally trash this buggy Telus Rom lol..

Some things I would love to possibly see in a future release (since I've had to add/install these edits myself):

+ Audio tweaks (to increase earpiece volume)
+ Enhanced D3D driver
+ Opera tweak for more than a pathetic 2 tabs
+ Opera tweak for closing it without minimizing and to for it to show in Task Manager
+ A working FM radio?
+ .NET 3.5
+ PIM backup
+ Regedit
+ Samsung Midomi
+ Shortcut to Games folder in new Start Menu (dying for this one)

Looking forward to the 1st release! Keep up the good work and it's always been worth the wait

Re: [DISCUSSION] [MightyROM] [MightyROM.com] [Rhodium CDMA WWE]

just make it as close to the stock rhodium from europe with a pagepool changer and you're good. I bought and returned the TMO TP2 and the performance on that thing was unreal, WAY faster that any TP rom I've seen (about the speed of ROMeOS if not faster). I tested the memory by opening:

Opera
Opera Beta 9.7
IE
Skyfire
Kinoma Freeplay
Youtube Player
Pocket Excel (with a huge spreadsheet loaded)
WM Player running music
MP3 Trimmer
HTC Album
The Camera
GoogleMaps
Total Commander

...and I was only at 76% still quick as god knows what. Not much to improve on this phone IMO except maybe precaching the entire phone (if even possible) to eliminate the need to load anything at all, lol.

EDIT: and as for drivers, my friend played PS1 games on his at a framerate of 30-60 FPS easy, what D3D drivers are you guys talking about changing? The stock 3D performance is far more than enough fr a phone in this thing.

How do you use that thing anyways. The Wife wants to use it, but when I take a pic of the business card and it export, I can't find it in her Contacts

I found the posting in here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...=1#post1108544

Someone posted a cab file for an "Enhanced" D3D driver. And also posted an .exe file for a 3D demo you run off the TP2. His point was to run the demo before installing the cab and see how laggy it runs. The after installing the D3D cab it runs as smooth as silk. This is to show that whatever stock D3D drivers come pre-installed are obviously not that great.
