Re: Screen protection

Has anyone tried the MartinFields.com protector? How does it compare to the Clarivue?

Re: Screen protection

My personal favorite screen protector is BoxWave. I've used them on several devices and they are great! They also come in both a crystal clear and anti glare version. Personally I always get the crystal clear.

I've used boxwave in the past as well, but they don't have a TP2 screen protector. Or at least they didn't as of a few weeks ago. So that's a fail.

I sent them a message about it and they suggested I send the measurements, but no thanks. I'll wait for them to properly release it

The way the screen protector sits and the "strength" of it, I have yet to have a problem and can't foresee it being an issue here, honestly. Trying to get the thing off takes a heck of an effort!!

The Clarivue protector is like running right on the screen, it is a dream
Do you use the Ultra-Clear or the Anti-Glare? http://www.clarivue.com/detailx.asp?...TC_Touch_Pro_2

Seems the Anti-Glare would hide finger prints better...

BoxWave http://www.boxwave.com/faq/faq_topic_1.htm#return promises a 100 day warranty against defects. Does that mean 'scratches'? I recall another maker giving a lifetime guarantee.

You are absolutely correct, hands down BoxWave Screen Protectors are the best!
They just got up a page on there web site for the Touch Pro2.
I would also recomand the ClearTouch Crystal,
the absolute clearest screen protection available

http://www.boxwave.com/products/easy...ories_3552.htm

Let's hope a Screen Protector is in the works soon.

I used the Anti-Glare on my p4000 and yes, it hid them like a champ. But it also made the screen a little bleh.

But the phone itself was a little bleh, too. I mean really, it was the ugly cousin to the Touch Pro2 that would put out, but you still kind of felt empty afterwards.

For the Touch Pro2, it's like the chick from Mad Men. Sure she's a bit on the plus side, but everything is just so volumptious it's beautiful, and you want it to look that way in your hands, too

Ahem.

SOO.... Boxwave is way more expensive than Clarivue, just FYI. For 3 bucks less you get 2 protectors that are pretty darn good quality IMO.

Re: Screen protection

This is strictly my opinion, but if you go with BoxWave you won't ever have to replace your screen protector unless you have some kind of accident. I'd rather pay a little more for something that will last instead of paying less and have to replace it at some point. That's just my opinion.

Re: Screen protection

Thing is, I feel the same about Clarivue. I used them with my original DS way back and it was great. I had it on my p4000 and also, great. No issues.

The great thing about the Clarivue protector is if you screw up the first one, which I tend to REGULARLY do, you've got another one available

Re: Screen protection

I use the Martin Fields protector with my Mogul and I always end up with marks made by the stylus. It's as if there's a bit of sand or grit embedded in the tip of the stylus and it'll occasionally leave a nice scratch in the protector.

Is the Boxwave more durable or should I expect the same?
