Why does ATT always have to f*ck with the keyboard on every sliding QWERTY phone they release? Does anybody actually use the physical keyboard to dial the phone? I just use the onscreen keyboard to dial the telephone.

I kinda like the way they did the numeric keys, Makes it very friendly to hold down FN and go to town if you need to type a group of numbers.

i wonder if att will be the only tp2 to have wm6.5 at launch? probably not unless it comes out much later than the others... numbers would be better up top though

Since they're going to alter the original specifications from the manufacturer anyhow, why not have the phone 2" longer, and add a regular 10+ keypad, while keeping the main keyboard unaltered? It would make more sense then altering the original keyboard layout. Plus, if they did that, then the front of the phone could have a D-pad, as every other HTC phone has had in the past.

Good point. If they did that, it pretty much would be a new phone. It would pretty much be a MUMPC at that point, and would probably be a completely different model, (smaller brother of the HTC Shift maybe?

If you look close, almost every laptop, despite the top number row, also has them layed out like that, as does my Mogul. Not sure what the big deal is
