Entering email addresses?

Have I missed some setting on my Touch Pro 2 please? When I send a new email and start entering the first few characters of the email address, I want to see suggestions for previously used contacts. The same as you get on iPhone and iPad.

Alternatively I thought maybe I could tap and hold in the To box and get a list, but that doesn't happen.

Mine does it, its a feature of Windows Mobile, not the phone.

Many thanks. I'm still using WM 6.1, so I guess the absence of that feature is one price I pay for being reluctant to risk updating. What version of WM are you using? Do you have a link to it please, in case I bite the bullet and update?

Its the Stock 6.1 Sprint ROM. But this has been a feature at least since the Apache IIRC.

I'm out of my depth on this sort of thing, such as the distinction between my WM 6.1 and whatever a ' Stock 6.1 Sprint ROM' is. But shouldn't I too therefore be able to get 'auto entry' or whatever this feature is called?

I thought the TP2 had WM6.5??

That feature works on mine. Though mine has the Energy ROM installed. It won't let me post in the Buy Sale Trade section but I do have a TP2 for sale if anyone is interested PM me. Thanks

Mine's a bit backward also ... the suggestions don't pop up until i hit backspace ... no idea why

Try typing a few chars, then hit backspace

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 4.0.4; en-us; SPH-D710 Build/IMM76I) AppleWebKit/534.30 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/534.30)

There is a setting in there that starts making recommendations after so many characters are entered. See if you can find it and lower the threshold. Keyboard settings?
