PPCGeeks - TP2 with no signal

I have a US Cellular CDMA TP2 that suddenly lost all service. I can't get any cell reception at all. I am running the July 2011 Energy rom and did a hard reset and also loaded a fresh copy of Energy.

In the top right (next to battery and Clock) there is a sim icon and a red icon with 2 plugs. I get no reception bars. It's like it set for gsm but I checked and it is set to cdma network. I checked my radio and its the same uscc radio that I always had.

I noticed it shortly after swapping batteries. I'm wondering if I might have damaged the sim slot. I don't have a sim card but was thinking the phone hardware might think there is a sim card in there. But thought it could also be software related and someone might have run into this before.

Any ideas or suggestions, I would love to hear them.
