Re: How to extract imgfs.bin from a custom ROM

I took it from my custom rom found in the cdma touch pro 2 section "userROM" . so if that's not what you're looking for maybe post the link to the rom you need like horndoctor and others suggested .

It looks like GSM version Rom. But since I only need the HTC_SMS_Providers.dll and SMS_Providers.dll out of it, it shouldn't brick the phone. I think these two will provide the proper encoding for sending the sms and mms.

I must say I think you're going about this the wrong way.
Is this a RhodiumW or a GSM Rhodium you are working with here?
For sms/mms you should just need the correct settings for the carrier she is using this device with. Maybe there is a simple cab install available. If calls work on this network then sms should certainly function.
Unfortunately it did not work that fashion. Others had success by replacing these two DLLs. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/htc-vogue/...t-message.html

I could not extract the 2 DLLs from the XDA rom. I was hoping puff to examine it as he requested it.

I don't think those .dll files are present on regular rhodium(gsm) roms. I looked into my Chinese TP2 rom dumps and those are non-existent. If you know a World phone ROM that has it working, I could try that and see.

Re: How to extract imgfs.bin from a custom ROM

Had you found a way to extract files from your cooked ROM?
If no there is a way to extract/modify any ROM.Go to http://aniruddhamukherjee.wikispaces...n+HTC+nbh+file and follow the instuctions. Only thing to change is the compression method used for your device. see this at step 6 : Generate new Imgfs from Dump. e.g. for my device which is Touch HD aka Blackstone the compression format is XPR and not LZX. Try this method !

Sorry for the delay! I cannot flash a GSM rom

Try kle54's method for extraction on PC if you cannot find GSM user to flash rom...

And let us know if it works!
