How often have you done a hard reset on your TP2?

Since I have had my TP2 I have done three hard resets because the WM6.5 software became so buggy that the phone would not function properly. Yesterday Sprint tier 2 tech support gave up and I agreed with them that a hard reset was my only option when I did my third one. ](*,)

Luckily I have SPB Backup which has made this an easy process!

What are your experiences on hard resets?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; U; Android 2.3.4; en-us; SPH-D710 Build/GINGERBREAD) AppleWebKit/533.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile Safari/533.1)

Hard resets area fact of life with winmo. The longest I ever went was seven months before my phone became unuseable. The system gets full of junk files and what not. Just keep your important cab files on your sd card.

I keep all of my important files on my card as SOP. By the way, are you also using a backup program like SPB?

Had mine for 5 months and never a hard reset. But, in all fairness, I haven't kept the same ROM on for a full month yet.

I was using sktools to make system backups.

I haven't had to do a hard reset for at least a year now. Even then I technically didn't have to.
It believe it depends on how clean you keep your device. If you use utilities like ClearTemp and SKTools regularly and you don't keep a ton of texts and emails in your inbox and keep things clean and organized you will save yourself many headaches. Also, research apps and mods or tweaks a little before you install them to see if others have had significant bugs or problems.

I usually only had to perform a hard reset whenever I had to flash a custom ROM which was whenever the chef I was subscribed to updated his rom.

@elesbb
yea about shitty speeds. I was in the Avondale community area in Chicago yesterday waiting for someone and I was looking for where I could use the bathroom and get some lotion and Bing maps couldn't even find my location because the speeds on that tower were so slow (could've also been due to the rain but rain usually doesn't affect terrestrial transmissions). I then pulled out my tmo HD7 and was able to get my location within a split second. what u gonna get? The HD2?

@eric12341
i have the VZW PRL flashed and i am getting decent speeds . but it still sucks . heck the other day m.facebook . com wouldnt even load -.- with the vzw prl . right now im tethered and i was downloading some files for my linux netbook and i reached DL speeds of 180 kB/s . i was happy . but the second i put Sprint PRL on im lucky to get over 20 kB/s . and as you stated before i am paying for mobile BROADBAND . and that T-Mobile pay as you go plan for 30 bucks a month is a friggin steal .

Btw im most likely gonna get the Samsung Galaxy S . But i need to save my pennies first xD
