Got this message "Trigger Ramdump Mode" while trying to install new ROM.

I'm trying to install a new ROM (Energy) and when I hold the power + vol down button I get a screen with that message. What is it and how to I install a my new ROM?

Yes, I've unlocked the phone so that the ROM can be flashed.

Yes, I've flashed my phone with a few different ROMS before and this is the same method I use.

The new ROM is on the mem card (root).

I would pull your battery for a bit then put it back in and try again.

Hey I found this:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/1929781-post7.html

Others said you can flash from SD in that mode.

I would say run task29 then try flashing.

I've never installed a ROM using the USB cable. How exactly do you do that?

Well the ROM you are downloading , the chef usually includes an RUU (Rom Udate Utility) and all you do is extract the contents to a folder and Run the RUU ( its an EXE file)

You should task29 first , that too is included in many ROM releases . All that does is COMPLETELY empties the phones internal storage and starts from scratch.

Then you boot into bootloader, by holding down the volume button when you power on your device , then run the RUU for the ROM .

All fixed. Thanks. I just opened the bootloader file from file explorer and it worked.
