Signal Problems
 

Hi guys.

I came here from XDA to seek some help. I got an used TP2 locked to Orange UK. I tried to stick my 3UK sim card but it didn't work so i requested an unlock code. After unlocking my sim i still did not have a signal or data connection, therefore i flashed a Jackos EVO JackFULL 1.5.0 ROM. It recognized my Sim set up and rebooted but still no signal connection or data. Funny enough my GF o2UK sim kinda works. I have data connectivity but no signal. I have tried flashing different radio but same results.
Can someone please help me, advise me?
I flashed android thinking it might be a winMo bug but still no connectivity on either of sim cards.

Are you sure your sim slot is completely unlocked? I would verify that first.
Then you may need to install a carrier/provisioning cab for the carrier that you want to use.

Also, you may want to flash the original shipped rom or a shipped rom for the carrier you want to use to get things working then flash a custom rom.

Hi

I was looking for a original stock Orange UK shipped ROM on the internet but could not find it. I flashed a WWE Europe stock ROM and this did not fix things. There is no ROM for 3UK as i think they never had that mobile on sale. Someone advised me to try and obtain Orange UK sim and see if this sim would work. If so that would mean that unlocking went wrong. If the sim would not work like mine than we move forward.
Thank you for your help, i value any input and ideas. I will report back as soon as i will get Orange UK sim and try how that work.

So i found my old polish Orange sim and it is strange.
I stuck my sim in and i had one little dot of signal. Than the connection setup window came and asked me to which network i want to set it up. I choose orange and after reboot i had no signal but in the connectivity window i have a G sign. Obviously because it is a Polish sim a cannot check if the net works but still kinda strange. Than i inserted my 3UK sin rebooten and Orange Poland back again but without connection set-up and same. No signal but a G letter in connection.
I will still try to obtain a Orange UK sim and try with that one.
