Google Voice

Thats pretty cool , i use googevoice a lot , and now my google voice number is the same as my sprint number ! no more confusion with my friends ! However that was fun xP but yeah from what it sounds you can get free visual voice mail sent as a text . That i like !

i just hate how all my contacts are on googles servers -.- playstaion network got hacked , dont mean google cant be .

but yeah when i signed into my googlevoice account they asked which number i wanted to keep , my google voice number , or sprints number . its pretty cool !

yeahhh PSN got fuuuucked up! good thing I have an Xbox 360 & Wii. only thing Google is good for now basically is the public transit directions and the finelatinagirls channel on YouTube. met a cool girl on there

I haven't made the switch to google voice because I tried it on my TP2 a while a go and didn't like the transcription.
The text message was all kinds of messed up.
Also I would get a text and an email...

The voicemail system built into the EVO is very nice and honestly... I never use my phone as a phone...
I get one or two voicemails per month (usually blocked/wrong numbers). I mostly text or answer my phone. People I know... know not to call me while at work cuz I get shitty reception.

So I might try it just to see what it's like.. But there's nothing wrong with the EVO one.

yeah well for those not so spoiled people , who are stuck with their tp2 , its pretty cool ! i use the ucbrowser to log into my gvoice to be able to text my friends , since i have poor service at my moms . and eric , you are quite funny !

It's all good... I came from the TP2 and still help out in the thread from time to time.
I like trying out new things too... So I think I'll make the jump and see how it works for me.

I am currently using it and love it. I was using Google Voice before separately, and integrated that number with my account. I like it because you don't lose your Sprint number doing it that way, for anyone that cared. The changes can be undone just as easily as they were implemented too (one click of a link in the Google Voice settings).

The transcriptions are rather funny sometimes and don't have anything to do with what was actually said, but I can get the general idea of what message was left most of the time. If nothing else, I like it as a reminder of whomever called better than the voicemail icon since I can quickly see who exactly left a message if I want to call back without listening first. (especially when my phone was dead/off/out of service and I don't have the missed call logged, or had Google Voice not sending calls to my phone for that timeframe).
