Default dialer

Well , ive been reading alot of people (well those who still use windows mobile) have been enabling HTC's dialer to help save on memory . I for one am one of those . However , people have disliked that you cant have the screen off when in a call . Well i fixed it . Install the cab attatched and it should work for you again

Instructions:
You must have mortscript installed***

1. Download the cab
2. Copy it to your device
3. Run it using a file explorer and install to your DEVICE
4. Restart your phone
5. Make a call to ensure it works
6. Enjoy (:

Re: Default dialer

Nice job. Just to nitpick, it's the Windows Mobile dialer included in the SYS that this fix is needed fore and not HTC's dialer .

Re: Default dialer

he means HTC dialer is what you see stock, people DISABLE this dialer to get to the old WM Dialer, thats what saves on memory..

Ok, you said people were disabling things to save memory. You disable HTC's phone canvas and revert to the default Windows Mobile ugly one to save memory. The proximity sensor should work fine with any WVGA HTC phone canvas as every version since I believe Rhodium has used a proximity sensor.

You would think so .. but the coding is different because of the HTC dialer canvas . the proximity fails to work with the standard winMo dialer after removing the canvas ..

EDIT: im stupid .. i mis understood you mwalt .. totally disregard everything i said .. lol .. you were saying that the cab i attatched is only for the standard windows mobile dialer and NOT for the HTC skin dialer .. correct ?

And yeah elcapo .. im saddened to see everyone abondoning there TP2's :'(

I didn't think it was ugly. A dialer is a dialer but yea there's no reason to waste 15mb on a dialer just because "it looks better" dont know y HTC didn't optimize its ram usage tho.
