help with foreign sim
hello, sorry if this question has been asked and answered. i don't have time to sift through the forums...
i'm deploying overseas VERY soon, and was wondering what i need to do to be able to use my phone overseas. i plan on buying a SIM from a local store once i arrive there. do i need to do anything special to my phone to allow me to use a foreign SIM? and do i need to flash a certain ROM and or radio? thank you all. m1r

if you dont want to pay the high international rates that sprint charges then u do have to just go HERE and purchase the unlocker.

Can't see your provder on mobi, but if you are on Sprint, you are already SIM unlocked. Just pop in the new card. For Verizon, call them to get the unlock code.

im using my phone over here, and i am on the everything data plan for 69.99 + unlimited international data for 39.99 per month.... using the sprint sim with my same stateside # in case anyone has an emergency back home....

im using vodafone. im deployed to egypt and have no issues. just pop in the sim and go. 100 egyptian pounds get me about 30 min talk time to the state. so roughly a dollar a min.
