Opera Mini 5.1 problems lately

anyone having problems with opera mini 5.1 lately? im experiencing it mainly with the facebook page. For instance, when I click on something it takes me to a blank page or if I click "see more stories" it takes me back to the top of the page. Anyone else experiencing this?

yes , that's why I now use UCbrowser 7.4

Typical Opera Mini quirks. It's one of those deal-with-it-or-gtfo scenarios, unfortunately.

It is a fast little browser though, even with its quirks!

I love Opera mini. When I am on the road it is the fastest, easiest browser out there.

As to you problem, yes. This have been an issue with all opera mini ver. going way back. Opera mini uses dedicated severs to render your info for fast download and viewing (experts, don't flame me here, I know thats not totally accurate but it gets the point quickly).

Anyway, when you are accessing a web page with a lot of info on it, it overloads your browser. I use NRGZ on one of my TP2's and his forum is so big that most of the time I just use regular Opera mobile, or UC to access it.

With a lot of forums or social networks you significantly reduce the advertising, thus the problems, if you log in instead of just visiting, but in this case you obviously are.

UCbrowser is a great option try it.

Actually, I recall that if I have formatting issues with a particular site, with OperaMini5.1, I just change settings from/to "mobile" or "fullscreen" and that will take care of it.

I have occasionally spent a bunch of time trying a different browser only to come back to OperaMini5.1 . It's like FF on the mainframe - just can't beat it!

Haha... I agree! I keep Opera Mini for almost all my daily stuff, and Opera 10 when needed!
