Boost mobile -> help.

Hey. I used this guide:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/htc-touch-...tp2-boost.html

And unfortunately, the directions aren't quite the way I'd write them out - they aren't informative enough IMHO.

So, I call boost, I play dumb, etc, and they ask me for a DEC number. I gave them the MEID(DEC) and the ESN(DEC) of my phone, and they kept repeating that it needs to start with a 268.

Now, if anyone would be kind enough to explain to WHICH one I use, the MEID, or the ESN - that would be nice for starts, secondly, if someone would explain to me what the BEST method is for socially engineering these people into accepting my phone, that would also be nice.

Thanks guys.

Re: Boost mobile -> help.

Also, they eventually forwarded me to some place called Migration Services, where I repeated it works on boost etc my friend had it working on boost, and then they told me that if it doesn't start with 268 cant be on boost.

Can someone please help me here?

Also, they're saying it's not loaded in their system so they can't do it.

Re: Boost mobile -> help.

This is a more informative forum for Sprint-to-Boost peeps
Boost CDMA

Basically, Just call back until you get the phone activated.
I have 3 phones sitting right in front of me that are "Sprint"
branded, And activated on Boostmobile.. Treo Pro, TP, TP2
All work perfect!!

Re: Boost mobile -> help.

for starters u messed up big time by telling them that u know other people who have successfully gotten an tp2 activated on boost. there is no best way to "socially engineer" (osea manipulate) someone into activating the phone, try to call near closing and dont say what phone it is. and just a side note getting a contract on sprint isnt that much more expensive than boost and plus u can get insurance should something happen to the phone.

Re: Boost mobile -> help.

Rule number 1. Of boosting. Never tell them that you know somebody who has
done this before. They know whats going on but arguing with them only
makes i hard on you. If they say no...hang up and call back later. Boost has
been known to make notes on accounts that are too pushy.

Re: Boost mobile -> help.

my guide clearly states do not tell them its a sprint phone. telling them that you know others who have it working on boost Not only does it not help you but it may also (as if they didn't know it already) alert them that more people are doing this. Thats its pretty much same thing as snitching on us. No one likes snitches.

Just keep trying to you get it. Once again dont tell them its a sprint phone. You will get it.
