Just got a new replacemnet from insurance and looking for the best ROM.

Just got my refurb replacement from Asurion and this time I want to a ROM that doesn't freeze and runs smoothly. I'm a novice to all this. I tried reading some of the threads and I am soooooo lost! I have no idea what SODs, build 21889, on boost, and etc are. Like I said, I'm so lost! I need your help!

So, the last ROM I had on the phone was Mighty Rom. I had that because a buddy of mine also had a TP2 and he was much better at this. He has moved on to the EVO so this is not his cup of tea anymore.

Mighty ROM had everything that I needed. However, switching from one program/window to another was very slow. It would freeze multiple times a day. I would have to reset it at least 5 times a day, everyday. After a reset, it took forever to boot back up. I'm not sure if it's the ROM or my phone. I did drop it in water. It also worked for over 7 months after it got wet. Is there a new Mighty ROM that works better?

So, with that said. Which ROM are you guys using? What do you recommend? Don't tell me stock, cause even a newbie like me know that it's junk. I just want the phone to work FAST! SMOOTH! I don't need a lot of stuff, just better than stock. Most important thing I want is the WiFi router program.

Re: Just got a new replacemnet from insurance and looking for the best ROM.

well the stock rom can be decent with the cleanup cabs that can be found in the cleanup thread. im running it right now until i can create my rom or until i can find another rom on here. most cooks seem to be stuck on the 6.5.x which is what i dislike because some programs i require do not display properly but for the best stability first place comes in with any 6.1 rom found on this forum (stock 6.1 included) 2nd place is any 219xx build 6.5 rom and 3rd place is probly the stock 6.5 plus the 2 cleanup cabs.

WRONG!! that rom is built from 21889 which is the build that hosted all the SODs and needed many soft resets a day. can't go wrong with my choices above in which i rarely had to soft reset outside of it being required by something.

well im just letting him know that if RAM and multitasking is what he cares about then he might want to avoid CHT or any roms with it cooked in by default.
