Anyone know what they are giving you for Warrenty Replacement on VZW?

Hey all, just curious if anyone out there had recently received a warrenty replacement from Verizon on their TP2. Mine is having issues (again) and they mentioned replacing it, but I was kinda hoping they would give me something a bit newer. Anyone turn one in recently and received something other then a TP2? Just curious, I am up for an upgrade soon, and they offered to waive the upgrade time for me, but I really don't have the cash to drop on a new phone, so it would be nice if they gave me a bit of a hook up.

Might be wishful thinking, but who knows...

Warranty replacements are still TP2s. If you get enough of them, you should be able to convince someone to get you a new phone, but it won't be an easy process. I got 5 replacement TP2s in a 1-2 month timeframe, all with varying hardware issues, and threatened to leave VZW before getting a different phone.

Personally, I think the replacements are phones that were rejected for NIB status for some reason, but I don't know for certain. They are new units as the refurbished status was <no data> for all of replacements I had. Good Luck.

My wife had three or four TP2's and I got VZW to replace hers with an incredible. It's hit and miss really. Depends on which way the wind is blowing I think.

I called to see, and they actually had TP2's and Imagios as my options. I've had enough issues with the TP2 to ask for more options, but they pretty much said the only other option was the Imagio, and I am not going there. I'm just going to stand fast with the one I have, try a different rom and see if that clears up my issues, and do an upgrade once the LTE phones come out. No way am I going to the Imagio though...I've heard nothing but bad about it.

whoa! whats wrong with the VZW TP2s that make them have to be replaced so much? my sprint TP2 has absolutely no hardware issues

As far as I know, it's not the original NIB units that have significant issues, it's the replacement units that get shipped out that are the problem. I'm guessing that Sprint may have similar units and if someone got one, they'd likely have the same problems with the replacement as VZW people have. The only good thing is that Sprint is still selling the TP2, so they still have brand new retail boxes of them if they need them, where VZW stopped selling them 4-6 months ago.

I'm on my 3rd tp2 this year and i have sprint, they all have issues!!

im on VZW and they gave me the Imagio...fuccccin thing SUCKS. Im really starting to hate WM in general
