OCT & Opera 10

I dont know if anyone else has noticed, but I installed OCT 1.5 and have my speed set at 729Mhz and I have never seen Opera run so smooth and fast.

I did load Aug 28th of Energy ROM and dont know if that helps as well over the stock (it took a dump on me 2 days ago so I decided to flash a ROM)

I use to think it was a Sprint deal and it was just a slow data connection, but whatever happened Opera has never been so fast as now. I'm very happy with the internet browsing now. Feels like I have a new device. :)

Would increasing the speed really make that much of a difference?

it could also be due to the fact that u just flashed a new rom.

Overclock Tool 1.5

I loaded it and i've ran it pretty stable for quite some time at 729Mhz. Anything higher for me seems to freeze it. Now with the new ROM I can't pin point it is what made Opera faster, but it is by far and never was this snappy on the stock 6.1. Of course I never ran OCT on the stock ROM either.

wait like a few weeks before you say this. of course a fresh rom flash is going to be snappy. however i can say that since its been almost a month since i flashed the 6.1 rom im on (sprint basics 1.4) its just as fast as the first day.

I think it's a little of both but overclocking does speed up opera.
Glad to hear you are enjoying your tp2.
It's nice to hear someone that isn't complaining about their tp2. ;)

This should be very easy to test if you really wanted to... load up a large site like CNN at both stock and overlocked speeds, using a stopwatch and clearing the cache inbetween.
