Does using 6.1 eliminate SoD?

I just gave my friend my old TP2 after upgrading to the Epic, and I think the SoD saddens him. Would rolling back to 6.1 fix this, and what impact would this have on the phone's functionality?

Thanks

Re: Does using 6.1 eliminate SoD?

are you using the stock 6.5 or custom ROMs on the TP2? I don't have any SOD on the stock 6.5, without installing the co0kie's mod. I have LockDevice, and XDAShutDown. Both work fine.

But I have a lot of problems with 6.1 on my diamond. (You guys are rich, I just switch to TP2 from diamond) You have to install CleanRAM on 6.1 and maybe set to auto clean, otherwise, you will freeze on the run, might be opera, might be anything... I hate 6.1 and it's ugly too. Then I flash it to custom ROMs and started to have SOD, I think mainly from co0kie's mod.

You just need to download and flash the original shipped 6.1 rom.

Re: Does using 6.1 eliminate SoD?

i wouldnt say 6.1 eliminates the issue completely i remember i had an SOD on my TP once during a phone call. however since i did start using a 6.1 rom on my TP2 i havent seen an SOD yet. i recommend u go beyond the stock rom and flash this sprint basics rom im running. its based on stock but uses build 21057 instead of 21052 and has more ram than the stock.
