this is such a poor product. I broke it 15 minutes into owning it. It cant handle minor abuse, sit in a car as the driver and buckle the seat belt and youll break the thing easily. the plastic is weak. not worth $10 in my opinion.

does the holster have to be used with out any case on the phone?

I agree. I went through ywo of these before getting my money back. It is a poor design and breaks easily.
