Need help with Internet Explorer
 

Hey all,

sorry if this question has been asked, but I really need some help. Took my sprint TP2 to get updated yesterday, and noticed that I was given the latest version of internet explorer. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of the latest version, so can I go back to the original IE that came with the phone? If so, does somebody have a link that will direct me to the download? Lastly, if I can download original IE, will it cause any problems with the updated software? Thanks!!

i havent used this in a while but just install and open it from your programs list and u could choose if u want to open the old ie or the new ie

eww who would want to use the old ie? lots of things don't work on it.

If not IE, any other brower or browers you can suggest? Just want something that's easy to operate. Thanks!!

are you talking about the IE in 6.5 being the one you dont like? its basically no different than the IE in the 21052+ builds of 6.1 except its skinned differently on 6.5. or are you talking about the classic pocket IE (the one on the TP and older devices) that gave even the new IE a bad reputation?

I'm talking about the IE on 6.5. Seems like it takes a very long time to load. Might I be doing something wrong? To me, it just seems slow.

that's actually a great browser as far as capabilities. I'd recommend that u flash back to a 6.1 rom. because 6.5 is slower than 6.1 overall.

click here and download the sprint 1.xx that's the stock 6.1 rom. if u don't want that rom visit the cdma tp2 upgrades section of this forum and download the HSPL-Unlocker and flash it by turning off ur phone and turn it back on holding the volume down button and power button to enter bootloader mode then after that go back to that section and download the rom I'm using which is the sprint basics rom. make sure u back up your text messages and contacts via myphone before doing this. after that u need to download an sms patch from the workaround thread.
