Movies and Bitrate

Hi, what is the best bitrate to use for playing movies on the TP2? I had 500 but for some pixalation on fast scenes, then I use 1000 and noticed sharper image but some stutter here and there.

I use handbrake to but Im thinking of using Divx Encoder now to see if there is a difference.

I have alot of Movies formatted for phones... I just looked at a few and all the BitRates are in the high 300's for the DATA Bitrate and no more high 400's for Total Bitrate.... all at around 23-25FPS also

format factory. Free. convert with tons of options and editing. convert videos and select HTCmobile device etc...

I would think that the overclocker would be enough to stop the stuttering.

Nope.. I have 3 TP1s overclocked @768 i believe, and that does nothing to make for better playback...anything that plays choppy on my overclocked TP1s gives me same image when i use them in my un-clocked TP2...

Bitrate is a thing to look at, but FPS is really wants holding us back from Great Video Playback.. the more action and screen switches, the more stutter and choppiness...

I agree with boredandtattooed... Also when u reformat the best file extension is .wmv, I know u all probably know that already but it doesnt hurt to say it just to make sure

I have used this... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=467112 to lower the bitrate and size of my "HD" sources and haven't had any complaints so far
