Capitalizing first letter of texts?

I'm using the newest energy rom and when I send a text using the sense tab it won't capitalize the first letter in a sentence. It will capitalize if i go into the outlook sms section. Is there any way to fix this? I've searched the forums and couldn't find any answer. I'm using the XT9 setting btw and i've also tried ABC, both don't capitalize there.

i think its a HTC msg "bug" not the rom your on.. its always been that way

I dont recall seeing one before.. this has been asked before but with little to no results
