Re: mp3 player was stolen

yea slacker is great,i also recommend that you convert any mp3s u may have to wma pro 64k bitrate 48khz sample rate u get excellent dvd audio quality sound and a smaller file size (no more than 2mb per file). u can use the dbPoweramp converter to do this(google for it). also convert to .wav 48khz first to avoid information loss.

Re: mp3 player was stolen

No, no, no... here's what you do. You have music on your computer at home? Great... keep them there, save your money and don't buy a big SD card. Then you download Orb on your computer. Then set up playlists in Orb. Then download Kinoma for free on your phone. Stream your playlists from your computer directly to your phone. I have an aux cord for my car... got rid of my ipod for this reason alone. No need for it.

And I like Slacker too, but why not just utilize all of your own music on your computer? It's perfect... why chose when you can get ALL of your music.

my method also makes it so he doesn't have to buy a bigger card. nearly doubles the amount of songs he can have on his existing one

Ive heard lots of alright things about ORB in the past few years... i dont use it because i have to leave either my PC or Laptop on AND leave my WIFI connection running-all while Im not home.. I dunno, maybe im just energy cautious i guess..

Question about Orb though.. i have about 100GBs of music on my laptop.. EV loading WMP with ALL my music, bugs my laptop out.. How well do you think ORB would handle this amount of music??? i know you can create playlists, you mentioned it above, just wondering if i wanted ALL my music streamable though.. Thanks

Re: mp3 player was stolen

Playlists are a pain. I simply set my player to Shuffle and let it pick from the thousands of songs on my 16gb SD card. If it picks something I don't want to hear, I just hit the Skip button on the phone, on my BT head unit in my truck (steering wheel controls) or on my wireless BT headphones.
