Cooking my first ROM

Okay so I have been on this site long enough and have flashed many different ROM's. It is now time for the young grasshopper to try and become a master!! So could anyone tell me exactly where to get system packages?? Like the 21889 or 26536 those number packages?? Im just playing around with it right now, and seeing what all I can do with cooking, but I want to try and cook a 6.5.x ROM. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yeah thats where I started. Thing is most of the links are broken and do not exist anymore. I actually found the answer I was looking for thanks to a fellow cooker. Thanks for your input tho.
