USB port needs repair

Something happened to my USB port, and I can not get the phone to charge unless I apply a slight counterclockwise twist to the charging cable.
Since I obviously cant hold the phone and cable for hours at a time, I am hoping one of you folks know of a repair option.

Is there a place I can send my phone to get a new USB port?
Or am I better off looking for a new phone on eBay (seems like such a waste).

Just for the hell of it you might want to try blowing it out with a can of air. my usb port got clogged with pocket lint and acted just like that until I cleaned it. Now it's fine.

Have you tried a different cord? Check that first before taking it in for repair.

Take it to a Corp. store and see if they will fix it under warranty.

Thanks for the ideas.

I have tried multiple chargers, so it isnt the cord, but rather the phone.
I will try blowing it out further before surfing ebay.

your tp2 is under warranty. do like Wes said above, or call verizon and get a free warranty replacement shipped to you.

I had a similar problem with my old TP... I took it to a service cente and they told me the board was broken and insisted that I broke it by not taking care of my phone... They wanted to charge me the 100 buck deductible. I told them it was a defective phone and I wanted it replaced under warranty... stood my ground and demanded to speak to a manager who EVENTUALLY got tired of me and just wrote off the deductible and ordered me a replacement. LOL. Try it... You've got nothing to loose. Other than time.
