Cooking apps into existing custom rom

I want to add RemoteTracker (remotetracker.sf.net) to the NRG rom. I am having trouble locating existing posts that explain the process. I have never cooked a rom before. Any info is greatly appreciated.

You can add it in a cab form, but unless the cook release's his kitchen it's just not going to be cooked in.

Thank you for explaining that. Now I'll have to see if the Energy rom kitchen is available.
