Bluetooth phone as modem?

I have WM Wifi Router and the internet sharing tweak, is there anyway I can get Bluetooth phone as modem to work? The client device wants a device name username and password... what would I populate in there?

Re: Bluetooth phone as modem?

Are you trying to connect your tp2 to your laptop and you want to tether your internet with a bluetooth connection? It sounds like you may have an older bluetooth adapter that only has DUN profile. The DUN profile will ask for a username and a password. The touch pro 2 has a PAN profile; so if your bluetooth adapter is modern it should automatically let you create a PAN when you pair your phone to your laptop. If your bluetooth adapter is obsolete, i would highly recommend getting a mini usb bluetooth adapter. Try to get the new 2.1 EDR adapter because it will create a password automatically and you can leave it in your laptop permanently.

Re: Bluetooth phone as modem?

Might want to take a look at this thread.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=560865

The thing with DUN is that if your phone uses the DUN NAI to connect then Sprint will be able to see that you are tethering.
I would modify the DUN NAI to the regular NAI in EPST to be sure, however there are some risks to messing with EPST.
