Water Damage Sticker - Did you trigger it with a sweaty hand?

While hiking and using my TP2 as a GPS it froze up, had to pop the back cover and hit the reset. Unfortunately my big sweaty hand triggered the water damage indicator on the side of the phone. Has something like this happened to you? Please take the poll and post a description of how it happened and what if anything your carrier has done about it.

Mine has been triggered but I think its from after I wash my hands or something else. Either way it has been set off and if it breaks I'll have to pay.

What will it look like if it's been water damaged?

Mine is white with little red crosshatches going across it. Water damaged or still good?

Mine is still good too. I have not had any freeze up and no need to reset with batt cover off....

Mine must has been accidental. It's red, and I've never gotten the phone wet. I live in New Orleans where it's 100% humidity and I'm always grabbing my phone with sweaty hands so maybe that's it.

Mine's only partially red. Probably grabbed my phone after washing hands and not drying them well.

mine is red also, i'm assuming from south florida's humidity. last night i was in the sprint store because the microphone stopped working and they fixed it (replaced the front half of the phone). if they weren't able to fix the issue they were going to order me a new (refurb?) one. never mentioned the watermark!
my battery's watermark, however, was still completely dry and intact.

Same with me the clerk at the sprint store opened my phone and said water damage i said check under the battery and the tech said no damage but voided my warranty because i am running Vins plutonium rom but she was impressed as she voided my warranty

lol not to be mean, that has to be one of the funniest post I have ever seen. The CS rep was impressed with the rom, but voided the warranty? Dude, flash back to stock relock the phone then take it in to a different store and ask them to check the phone. You may get lucky and the other tech will put a note in saying your phone warranty was not void. Just a suggestion.
