Sprint Touch Pro2 on Alltel Digital Roaming

I recently bought a Touch Pro2 off Alltel that is Sprint Branded but was claimed to be "thoroughly and completely switched over to Alltel". Well the process on getting it up and running for Alltel wasn't as simple as I'd like. I finally have voice and text messaging up and running after I get Alltel to activate the phone and I changed a few settings in EPST. However, I am only getting 1X data, am always under "Digital Roaming", and cannot send MMS Messages. I've updated the PRL many times but that hasn't helped at all.

The seller told me that "The digital roaming has to do with your PRI number". I haven't found anything when searching on how to update this and/or change it.

I did however find some helpful threads for Flashing a Touch Diamond from Sprint to Alltel specifically these posts in the thread:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=714365

Should I just apply these settings to my TP2 or is that the complete opposite direction on what I need to do. Hopefully Conflipper himself can help me.

I'm pretty good with flashing ROMs and everything I've owned an Alltel Treo Pro as well as a Touch Diamond in the past. I'd really appreciate any help or ideas

Thanks

Yeah I saw that on his Twitter... probably won't be getting a response from him anytime soon. But I just wish I could figure this out.

yes, you have to do the stuff in those links for your data and mms to work.

as far as it saying digital roaming, i think that's just cosmetic, but here's my suggestions.
what prl's have you tried?
i would install a verizon prl and see if that gets rid of it. just download a verizon tp2 stock rom and extract it and you'll see a ppst...cab, then install it on you phone and go to the windows folder and click on the ppst.exe file.

there's also a post in here somewhere that someone put a vzw tp2 on alltel and provided info on it.

I used The Answerman's website to download the PRLs and tried 31000 31003 41000 41003 (My Alltel is divested). I changed the MMSC settings and I've got MMS working so I'm making progress.

Currently I am using the 1.42_003 PRI and the 41000 PRL. I just found this thread and this post. Is this what I need to do? http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=888469

Well who ever sold you the device didnt change the PRI, your not on a VZW pri which is your issue

Install this and then run the ppst shortcut in the start menu and reboot

you may need to install the 41000 prl again after this.

also dial ##RTN# or ##RTN + Talk, what ever works this will initiate a radio reset so back up your data.
