Using MightyRom Wi-Fi Internet Sharing to tether, problems when phone goes to "sleep"

I hope that subject wasn't too bloody long... but I'm terrible with subject lines

Anyway, like it says, I'm using my TP2 to tether my iPad.

It's working just fine, for the most part, however when I turn the screen off on my TP2 (I have the basic Lock Screen installed) it seems to put the phone into a sleep mode and I lose my wifi router connection. This, basically, sucks because I HAVE to have my TP2 charing to use it as the router, because with the screen on and tethering, the battery drains like a water tower shot by a missile.

Is it the custom lock screen? I admit, I haven't tried turning that off and would prefer not to, so if anyone can provide any insight to this, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Nick

Thank you both, y'all rock.

Much appreciated. I guess I was just searching using the wrong order of words... who knows.

Anyway, thanks

Protip: Next time you are looking for a cab to fix a problem, the first place you should look is in the paperclip attachment of the most popular rom, usually Mightyrom. Just do a very basic keyword search and imagine from the usually horrible names what the cab might do. If it looks like it could solve your problem, then search inside the mightyrom thread for it, to bring up the posts that facilitated the posting of the cab.
