Id be interested to know what exactly is filling up your phone...

EDIT* Just realized you said you only have ringtones... If that's true, that's a lot of ringtones... lol! What ROM are you using?
how do u save texts to the card?

Re: tp2 memory issue

I have the same problem! I have the 6.5 stock rom and have no downloaded ringtones. My pictues, email attachments etc are pointed to my 8gb storage card. I used file manager to find large files and none were found on my phone. I have one game bubble breaker. I read thru this thread and I have tried all that, any more ideas or solutions?

Re: tp2 memory issue

Try SK Tools. It's a great collection of utilities. Among them there's a few cleaners and a utility that shows you how much space each directory takes up. Maybe you have thousands of small files in your temp and cache dirs, or maybe you have hidden files that File Explorer won't find.

Also first thing I do is go into Application Data and delete everything in Volatile folder.

Last time I checked my TP2 has not leaked any memory on me or in my pocket. Not sure what ROM you are using but Mine does not at all, Memory is super stable for me.

Re: tp2 memory issue

When people talk about the TP2 memory leak, they are usually talking about the ram (program memory) leak. I've had a few instances on my TP1 and TP2 where the actual flash memory (regular storage) dropped really low and i couldn't figure out what was using it. In those situations, a simple hard reset did the trick.

Re: tp2 memory issue

Usually memory leaks are "caused" these days by programs cacheing to be able to restore faster. Soft resets will reset a lot of these. Also, ClearTemp works good at clearing cache's and temporary folders, too many email attachments, etc.
You shouldn't have to hard reset to get back ROM. I would try ClearTemp and see if that gets back your program memory. I had that problem once, where I ran out of program memory and it was related to email attachments being stored on the phone.

I've never seen the camera memory issue, but I don't use Sense so that might be the reason why. Might try turning Sense off if you are going to be taking a lot of pics. Might help.
