Actually the windows mobile community is more like a rabbit family than a heard of elk. all it takes is a slight bit of action and next thing you know theres a million of them.

Re: web os on tp2?

That would be a step in the wrong direction if you ask me, I just don't think there would be enough of a demand for it for someone to try and port it.

I want it. Can it happen though? Highly doubt it. Licensing fees.

Re: web os on tp2?

i would love to see this. don't know how it would be a step in the wrong direction like Wesley762 said since it's without a doubt one of the best mobile OSes out there. don't get me wrong, i love my WinMo but if it wasn't for the Pre's hardware (it's tiny and poorly built) i would have moved to webOS instead of the TP2. the OS is just that good if you guys haven't used it. so anyway, i would love to see a project like this come to life and am kind of shocked that webOS hasn't been hacked onto anything as far as i know. guess i'll keep waiting then but i'm not holding my breathe.

maybe we get something more proper out of HP's acquisition of Palm.

Re: web os on tp2?

I doubt it. Palm already went after an individual that created a WebOS experience for Android just after the Pre was released. WebOS is not open source like Android is.

WebOS on a TP2? Why ruin a perfectly good phone? WebOS has problems on a WebOS device.....

Web OS is garbage and so is the phone it comes on. How do I know this, I had to deploy it with exchange server for one of my clients. They purchased over 100 pre's thinking it was the thing to do. Boy where they wrong. They went back to Blackberry's and iPhones for corporate use.

personally my experiance with web os was gr8 the ui @ least, but on a tp2 web os would be phenomanel
-large slide out keyboard we all love
-massive touch screen
-528mhz proccesor
-sprint sero capabilty!
-sim card slot
and friekin WEB OS yes it actually is an amzaing os windows mobile is better but web os is NOT garbage
