Sprint is CDMA they do not use Sim cards, the HD2 is a GSM phone and will not work on the sprint network.

sprint offers a sim card to use outside the country. the touch pro2 and some blackberries come with a sprint sim card. was just wondering if there's a cab to make the sim card work on the hd2.

Nope, you just can't use GSM phones on the Sprint Networks, sorry to be the one with bad news.

Re: sprint sim card in an hd2?

sprint sim card is only meant for international use, which they would fix you up w/ very "nice" rate oversea (by way of some affiliated third party?) There is no Sprint GSM network whatsoever here in U.S. so no HD2 on Sprint US network. But that HD2 sure does look good-..

Re: sprint sim card in an hd2?

I'm sure you can hook the Sprint SIM up in the HD2, but since it would only work for international roaming you'd have to be outside the US and pay some crazy Sprint GSM roaming charges (in short no a smart idea to do).

Re: sprint sim card in an hd2?

I think we beat this dead horse to more than pulp? So baring some earth shattering changes (such as Sprint going gsm in the States) thread closed?
