how fast can a taskbar drain down the battery ? ive just tried a new 1 & literally watched it drop 4% ina few seconds .. i then think on how when i first used 6.5 i was amazed at battery life n then thought maybe partly due to the stock tb i was using

Re: battery drain question

Most everybody will agree that anything short of "scientific" logging is unreliable when it comes to comparing battery life. Signal, usage (data, text, voice), backlight, runing services will all have a significantly larger impact than a taskbar IMO.

Not to mention that the battery charge meter is far from accurate, and your 4% drop is basically as good as being in your head.

I would recommend using a program that can display or log battery consumption (in mA) and doing some longer term testing with and without the taskbar mod.

BTW battery charge indicator is especially inaccurate near the 100% mark.

Re: battery drain question

this is only slightly off-topic, but since my wife and I both updated to 6.5, I feel like the battery life is better and she feels like it's worse. Wait...is this the relationship forum?!

the % part used to have me scratch my head after a nights charge to wake phone & while still plugged in see solid green LED but it reading 96% .. a fellow member described that as the 1% driver if im not mistaken. with the taskbar i just uninstalled it was displaying a 1% difference compared to what my pocket shield lock screens % was showing.
