tomtom lag ever fixed?

has there ever been a complete fix to the tomtom map refreshing rate?

on my old htc touch running the same version and maps of tomtom, there is virtually no lag in the maps refresh rate and it provides a smooth look.

on the tp2, even with the "fixed" cab files i still experience that lag.

so has there been a fix for it?

Re: tomtom lag ever fixed?

I have gotten very good results by using

strra ttn7.916.9192_vga_black tweaked.cab (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=NDLQX1MN)

and

GpsModDriver_151.cab

you need to go into GPS settings in Tomtom and set as other bluetooth on com3. It's just interpolated positioning, but it works very well. I have no more issues with Tomtom now. Good luck!

Re: tomtom lag ever fixed?

If by lag you mean you make a turn around a corner and tom tom still
shows you sitting at the stoplight you are now 2 blocks away from, then yes.

I solved mine simply by using tt7 910.9185 VGA Black cab.
it's a little older than some options, but newer is not always better.

Re: tomtom lag ever fixed?

I'm interested in finding this out as well. The same issue was present on the Touch Pro.

Re: tomtom lag ever fixed?

just tried both cabs listed in this tread, and strra ttn7.916.9192_vga_black tweaked.cab is better than the other 9185 posted.

not perfect, but a lot less lag. looks like i'll be carrying my old htc touch for tomtom

If you use the gpsmod driver from the earrlier post and set tomtom to recieve on com 3, it appears almost dead on except on a sharp corner it will overshoot turn then snap back on abot a second later. Use it almost every day with no problems. Give it a shot.

Re: tomtom lag ever fixed?

Will the gps mod driver cab work on garmin too, or is that a tomtom specific mod?
