New $25 Sprint Plan Better than SERO?

Pretty interesting. I for one do not go over 300 minutes a month, this would actually be a good deal if they are throwing in unlimited nights and weekends.

While most U.S. cellphone plans center around voice services and include data as an extra and often pricey frill, Sprint's Beyond Talk offer promises unlimited texting and Web surfing for $25 a month but limits phone calls to 300 minutes a month.

It's for prepaid customers and frankly, I can't see them including addons like unlimited n/w at 7PM + free roaming at the $25 price point. Another thing to consider may be limitations on devices (that's not to say that SERO isn't in the same boat on this one).

"Sprint will also sell a $40 plan with 1,200 call minutes for people who still like to talk but want unlimited texts and mobile use of social Web services like Twitter and Facebook. A $60 plan includes unlimited calls and smartphones."

It sounds like the $25/plan includes data but is pretty limited in what kind of data you can use by the phone/phone browser itself. I'm thinking this is a pretty good fit for social phones like MS Kin and the likes....but don't plan to switch your TP2 from SERO anytime soon, they'd put you on the $60 plan by default.

Unlimited mobile to mobile killed my usage lol. I think I used about 15 minutes out of my 450 last month simply because I only call other people's cell phones.

I'd definitely get this.

This is only for Virgin Mobile, Sprint's CDMA based pre-paid service. Sprint also owns Boost which uses the iDen network.
