Need help with TP2 and "People"
 

Hello,

Just got upgraded from a Mogul to a TP2. Having a problem with mapping contacts to "People". Specifically, mapping one contact to multiple slots.

If I have a contact, and I map them (with their cel number) to say the first slot, the contact maps just fine. If I want to map the SAME contact, but a DIFFERENT number, (say work, or home), to a second slot, it maps fine, but it deletes the first mapping of the same contact. If I go back and re-map the contact to the fist slot, it again deletes the other mapping. Seems like I can only have one contact mapped to a slot, regardless of how many numbers they might have.

Is there any way to have one contact, and multiple numbers, mapped to multiple slots in the "people" section for speed dialing?

Had never noticed it before. But your right.. dont think there is anything you can do about it. unless you give them 2 names with diff numbers on them?

OK, I'm REALLY new to the TP2. I thought that was the purpose of "people".

There's another "speed dial" section? Great... more buttons.

One of the menus has speed dial.. may be on the dialer where you hit menu from there.. forget. but thats about the best way i know to keep peeps on the screen like that since they have 2 numbers..

Instead of actually choosing a number in sense 2.5 you can choose to open the contact card. Its not as 1 touch friendly to call/text, but at least you can access all their numbers from 1 button.
