Too many text messages are causing lag

In the windows version of the sms, it loads the messages in pages. This way when you open up the messges it only loads a certain amount. When I use the htc sms program, I think it loads all of them.

So basically now when I get a messages, it takes it about 10 seconds to load it. Also when I open up the convo with someone to send a new message, it takes 10 seconds to load before I can start typing.

Is there anything I can do to make it quicker short of deleting all the messages? Or using the windows mobile version?

When you are viewing a message just use the reply feature in HTC Sense. Go to the messaging tab, click the right softkey "Menu" and choose the option to reply, you will now be in WM reply screen. You can also click the All Messages softkey on the bottom left to go to WM messaging.

Or just put all the messages you have in a folder, let's say the sender's name, so it doesn't load up everytime you visit your inbox
