yahoo mail issue

I dont know if there has been a published fix for this (atleast I could not find with the search). Anyway I think this has been talked about before.

I have Sprint 6.5 (but others with Verizon have also reported). I have yahoo (free not plus) mail setup to only show 7 days worth. What happens after a couple of days is that my entire mailbox gets downloaded to the phone (600+ unread) and then Sense takes a long time to start after a reboot.

Some people have said that it is a Yahoo problem. Does anyone have a fix for this since I have to delete my yahoo mail and redownload it every couple of days.

Is there a cab that can be run on a scheduler and purge things on an hourly basis. I dont know how Outlook mail works. What is its schedule for purging?

Any answer/solution would be greatly appreciated.

Your best bet is to move emails out of your main inbox to a seperate folder or folders and try to keep your main yahoo inbox clean. You could do that then delete and re-create your yahoo account on your ppc and set it up again. Also, select to delete emails immediately and set your device so when you delete an email on your device the email is also deleted from the yahoo server.

Re: yahoo mail issue

clean out your yahoo mail box. It happened to me first time around, and was annoying as hell. I think I had more than 4000 emails though.....
