Can Someone Help An Old Man With A Noob Question?

Technology has long passed me by, so please help me out. I've done a lot of reading but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere myself. How do you get the dropdown menu on the taskbar? Is there a way of getting it without putting a new rom on it?

I have a stock TP2 on Sprint.

are you referring to the start menu from windows 6.1?

Sorry for not being clear.

I'm interested in getting an active program dropdown menu that is in the upper right hand corner. It's a pain in the bum to go to the task manager all the time, but from my searching, I haven't found a cab to do this.

Do I need a rom to do this? I don't think I'm ready to do that to my phone.

are you looking for htc's task manager (which doesn't come with sprints new 6.5 rom)???

Obviously, me and you speak different languages, since I am an old noob who doesn't know proper lingo. I think what you are saying is what I'm looking for.

I see all these pictures of it, but have no idea what it's called.

yes you want htc task manager. this is a goo thread for you to read about for sprint 6.5 stock rom. what you want is on the 4th post

Thank you, but that doesn't seem to work. I get a bunch of files, and the only thing executable is an xml file that does nothing.

That's the one I downloaded. The zip file just had a bunch of random files and an xml file that didn't do anything.

GO PENS! Sucks that they lost today though
