Because it dosen't freez up the phone and its not a memory hog too,and also because I think its sweet.
I think a lot of people would agree!!

I think it just boils down to personal opinion. best thing is to try it and see if it suits your needs. Personally I am Much happier with Sense 2.5 and Yes I have used Mobile Shell and just did not like the feel and look of it. that thats just it, its a personal opinion and what works for you best.

I love Mobile Shell as well. It is personal opinion about whether you like Sense or Shell more, but I just think Mobile Shell is easier to personalize.

I have the opposite experience. I don't enjoy the lag of Sense 2.5 even though the UI itself looks awesome.

their both good, so why not use both. you can even add a nifty sense to spb switcher app. Here's a great theme for Spb. Naong did an outstanding job with this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=604146

I purchased Mobile Shell but after the upgrade to Sense 2.5 I prefer that to Mobile Shell. I actually think Mobile Shell was a touch unstable and caused issues every once in awhile.
