Angry Yahoo email freaking out

Ive read in other post about excessive email not allowing phone to operate properly but whats happing here is it continues to download emails from my Yahoo account and will not stop. It has downloaded almost 4000 emails all the way back from 2008. Ive tried deleting them and when the phone get restarted all of them come back. I cant get in to anything else except email. Can not access settings ect... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: Yahoo email freaking out

Just fyi Thanks for all of your help, everyone and yes I got it fixed. It was so bad that It wouldnt let me get to any email settings but somehow I deleted the account. It took over 2 hours before it actually deleted the account and as soon as that happened, the phone was working fine. Again thanks for the assistance.

Also a Yahoo email user, also experiencing this problem as of yesterday. So going into mail>Menu>Tools>Manage Folders and setting max days of email to view at 3 won't fix it?

One thing I did that may fix it is I moved all old emails to archive folders on Yahoo. Even if the phone picks them up as existing, they aren't marked to sync so nnyyaaaaahh Yahoo We'll see, I just set this up today.

Thanks and thanked csciguy

Re: Yahoo email freaking out

This happened to me no matter what I did, so i had to buckle down and spend a day cleaning my yahoo mailbox. Sucked, but the only way I could get it to stop.
