Re: Calendar editing
Use the calendar app in outlook (Start button and then scroll down to Outlook and click on that - use that calendar app). It gives you the option for other categories.

Re: Calendar editing
Thanks for the response, but I was looking to see if there was a solution that addressed the HTC Calendar. If not, the Outlook calendar seems to be the only viable option outside of third-party software.

Re: Calendar editing
yea, it's the one area that nobody has really addressed (except maybe apple and ical)
i'm not sure why m$ or google hasn't tried integrating better contact and calendar standards, after all everyone uses the same calendar...

Re: Calendar editing
its been an issue for quite a while.
I recently went to sense2.5 calendar on wm6.5 stock verizon rom (runnig sense 2.1) and that was an issue that came up then. I had several custom categories already setup but when I installed the 2.5 calendar it does not look for custom categories..... It also has issues with setting up reoccuring appointments as well. Can't edit the pattern as easily as the stock wm calendar which sucks. But I live with it cause I live and die by the agenda screen. Can't go without it now that I got it.

Re: Calendar editing
Just to add my 2 cents, one problem I have is that Outlook does not consistently synch folders except for the defaults. I have a folder from e-mail on travel so I have hotel addresses and confirmation numbers in one place. If I check it to synch (on the PC synch center folder options) with the phone it does it a couple time, then that setting is lost probably with a soft reboot.

Re: Calendar editing
It's frustrating as hell. When I had my Treo 700P, I could set up custom categories and assign a ringtone for each group. Now, I'm stuck with the categories that HTC built in, and you can forget about assigning anything custom to those.
