USCC No Voice Service, No Data, & No MMS

I have been losing my network voice, data and mms capabilities every once in a while. It turns out that my MSID and MDN are being lost when I flash to new roms. Once I access EPST and change the MSID and MDN back everything starts working again.

My question is: Does anyone know or can help to figure out why this is happening? Also, How to prevent this, besides flashing abstinence?

I thought it was caused by a bad flash, but it appears that is not the case. This happens when flashing by the Rom Update Utility and SD card flash.

Razorloves has been able to help me access the EPST menu in any custom rom with the attached file for ##778# EPST menu fix. The lock code is 000000 with the flashed roms, stock or otherwise as long as you have not allowed a USCC agent to setup your phone.

For those that don't know: Your MSID is not always your MDN.

I know one other fellow USCC user has had the same problem. I am not looking for just USCC users for the help, anyone with the knowledge or know-how would be very much appreciated.

Re: USCC No Voice Service, No Data, & No MMS

Wish I could help, but I find that on custom ROM's I get the 777 error a lot, so I am on stock. I only get it once in a blue moon now. Personally I would flash back to stock, if it keeps happening then call USCC to fix it. If out of warranty then smack it up against a wall and call assuron. But I don't think you can be out of warranty yet, USCC only had the TP2 for about 6 months.

See the funny thing is it isn't the 777 error. I do get that with stock or custom. I find going into the connections and adding your phone number in the password section clears that error up.

This is something that removes the phone number setup in the phone that usually only the agents have access to, so I can not get data or voice, but I have fixed. I was just wondering what causes this as it does do this several times a week as I do flash custom a lot.

Thank you for taking an interest. I am up for renewal on the 30th and I may move up to the DESIRE that is supposed to release this summer. I really enjoy my TP2 so I may hang in there since I can correct it.

I would flash back to stock radio rock that for a day, see if that helps. sounds like your NVM is becoming corrupt. What radio are you on as well?

I am running 2.18 radio. I believe that is the shipped radio. What is the NVM?

Thanks for replying, I was becoming worried that no one would take interest.

I assume you have a USCC provisioning that you use?
If not, let me know.

nvm is the non-volatile memory on our phone that stores the epst settings, like the msid and mdn number you mentioned.

Have you flashed back to the stock rom at any point to see if that would fix your problem? Is it happening regardless of which carrier cab you use...(mightymikes or mr.x)
