Okay, I just got my touch pro 2 (verizon) and I have no idea how to unlock it. I don't know if its GSM or CDMA, and everytime I try and download the HSPL Unlocker it has a trojan. anyone willing to assist me in this situation?

its cdma so make sure you use the CDMA unlocker,your anti virus software will pick it up as a trojan but its fine just disable for a few minutes you will be fine.anything else?

Dang man thanks, uhm not at the moment this is actually helpful. you know any good roms to flash? possible a link? Im diving into this cause the regular phone is slow and very basic. Also do most roms have manilla and sense?

Okay now its saying I cannot access the file and Im a admin I tried running it as a admin still persisted. Im running windows 7 I dont know if that matters much.

here is link to the cdma hspl thread,youll find the dl link and basic steps in how to unlock your phone,the most popular rom is MightyRom pretty basic and stable.Most roms do have manila 2.5 now which is Sense.Personally i like Mr.X roms you can find the threads to these roms in the TP2 CDMA Upgrade sub forum.

Yea man everytime I try and do it it says Windows cannot access the specific device, path, or file. May not have permission to access. And when I added it to the DEP settings it says I dont have permission as well. So Im not quite sure what that indicates.

Okay so I got rid of the error but now everytime I try and run it it does the admin approval w.e and then it shows my time clock mouse but doesnt full load i watched task manager during the process and it starts then shuts down I have AVG off and Firewall.

might try another computer then. and make sure firewall and antivirus are off before doing anything.

AVG is the issue. Uninstall then try the unlocker.

Thanks Guys. Figured it out and finally unlocked it anyone got any good roms? looking for something ruthless! Thanks again this site is so legit now.
