that used to piss me off on tp1 cuz if i was on the sms screen & slid out the keyboard to start typing the p.o.s would some how go back to the home page after the a second after keyboard slid out & any input which should have been in an sms box would bring that phonebook up.
Yes! This always happened to me on my TP1 too. Still happens on the TP2 as well, very annoying. But I do like the feature aside from that

I could see how this would be really handy if you used a headset, I remember this was about the only way I made called with my old Treo 700wx too.

Are you using MyMobiler? I get the same thing if I use MyMobiler and type the numbers on my PC keyboard. It does work if I press the actual phone keypad numbers either directly on the phone or with my mouse in MyMobiler.

Nope, I have a rather clean install with few additions, at least by comparison to what most people on this forum add in.

Re: Great Discovery!!!! - Tip for Bringing Up Contacts From Home Screen

I used to use this feature alllll the time on my motorola Q9m. Very efficient. I tried it when i got my TP2 as they both use Windows mobile, and it worked flawlessly.

Also, if you need to look up someone's number, just start out by typing in area code then the number, and it will pop up with all your numbers in that area code, then the next 3 numbers likewise. Type out the whole number to see if you have that persons phone number.

This works very well when my friends are like "Dude, I just got a call but don't know who from! Do you know this number?!"

I simply type it in and look
