In call screen waking up...

Can anyone explain what triggers the screen to come on after dialing a number?

I notice when I hit the send button, the screen turns OFF but then comes right back on again before I get it to my ear.

This is frustrating and I've been manually turning off the screen to be certain it is off before putting the phone to my ear...

Am I doing something wrong or is there a modification or setting I am missing?

Thank you.

The touch pro 2 has a proximity sensor built in, so whenever you call and put it up to your ear the screen should turn off, you might not be able to tell exactly when it does, but it should be turning the screen off, and then when you take the phone away from your ear the screen goes back on because of the proximity sensor..

Usually, the screen will turn off when as it reaches your ear. The proximity and light sensor should turn the screen off, and it should turn the screen back on as you pull the phone away from your ear. You should be able to see this happening if you cover the earpiece during a phone call.
